Introduction to Revit 2022

Freshman Architectural Students have learned four weeks of SketchUp, so this introduction to Revit compares those lessons with drafting in Autodesk Revit. This lesson is repetitive throughout so that students can remember keyboard shortcut commands.

Halfway through the video I describe the architect Maya Lin so that students can draft the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall and develop a response to it using their new Revit skills.

Then, apply these same concepts to draft Calatrava’s Science Museum at the City of Arts and Sciences Complex in Valencia, Spain. Learn to use Google Earth to measure the Science Museum and develop the structural-rib envelope of the museum. As a beginner to SketchUp you can create a complex structure with simple SketchUp tools.
